About this Festival

Cranbrook’s first annual Bleeding Tree International Dark Drama Film Festival will bring a full slate of ‘dark drama’ films to you on August 9th, 2024 at the STUDIO STAGE DOOR.

International films range from short, medium, animated and feature-length focused primarily on traumatic and socially pressing issues and how people find resolve and humanity in the face of it.

Films are accepted in animation, student filmmaker, short documentary, and feature film categories; cash prizes will be awarded to the best films in each category.

The Stage Door concession will be open to serve beer, coolers, wine and non-alcoholic beverages that can be consumed in the theatre. All proceeds go towards theatre productions.
