About

 Musical:
Spanning the years 1800s to the 1920s, this musical is an American epic. It tells the story of three generations of performers travelling on a show boat on the Mississippi River from the South to Chicago and then their onward journey to Broadway. Cap’n Andy and the family of performers are on board the Cotton Blossom show boat. They navigate love, heartbreak, ambition, racism and integration.  A number of beloved, well-known songs derive from this production such as: Ol’ Man River and Can’t Help Loving Dat Man.
