It tells the story of three generations of performers travelling on a show boat on the Mississippi River from the South to Chicago and then their onward journey to Broadway. Cap’n Andy and the family of performers are on board the Cotton Blossom show boat. They navigate love, heartbreak, ambition, racism and integration.
